Last days in Robe

We have absolutely loved our time in Robe. We had lovely catch ups with our close friends Matt and Cath Backhouse and their beautiful family/extended family. They are the first of our wine touring friendship group to become grandparents and it was awesome to meet little Arthur. We love being here at the same time as them, especially when it involves a visit to Cape Jaffa Winery. We were also fortunate to run in to Erin Green, a gorgeous woman who we used to babysit when she was a little. Haven’t seen her in years but spotted her socials and realised she was staying at the same holiday park.

We spent yesterday with other close friends, Anthony and Kelly Willis, along with Maddie and Mitch, John and Nicole. They each own a 4WD so we headed off to Beachport and hit the 4WD tracks, which included a lot of beach driving. We had not done this before during any other visit to Robe. What a pleasant surprise. The scenery was spectacular and Paddy did a great job capturing it with his drone. It was a stunning day and we all loved it. Only had to get pulled out by Willo once, but that was all part of the fun.

Another beach day today. Paddy was even able to get some body surfing in so he was happy. Checked out sunset from our favourite location near the lighthouse. Leave here tomorrow and headed only 45 mins down the road to Southend, SA.

This following picture is to show you that life on the road is not always glamourous. Had an average start to the day and needed to meditate to bring some calm. It definitely worked! For anyone interested I listen to Yoga Nidra on Spotify.
